Dear Mom and Dad,

How’s everything going in Shanghai? Time goes so fast, we both miss you and the time we spent together in China. David and l are doing well. David, as usual, takes good care of me. For me, I am spending most of my energy and time with study and work.
About our plan of this year, instead of going back to China, we would like to invite both of you
(Mother: NAME; Father: NAME) to visit us in the US.
During the time of your visit, you will live with us in our house (Address:). As we described to you before, the US is such a beautiful and gorgeous country. I am sure you will have a nice time here. By the time you come over (May to June, 2010), I will be out of school for summer vacations. And it will be the best season to visit. We plan to take you to some cities around here, like San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma (to visit David’s mom Kathy), Longview (to visit David’s dad Gary) as well as New Orleans. Also, Dad mentioned about watching shows about Yellow Stone National Park in Wyoming. We can take a trip up there if you would like.
We also plan to take to your Smoky Mountain in Tennessee. We went there with David’s families in 2008. It was a very beautiful place. It has a lot of different activities to do, like water rafting, tubing, fishing as well as hiking. Also, David’s families are very excited to meet you.
We are all looking forward to seeing you soon. Love you and miss you!

Love,

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter in regards to my mother and father in-law, they want to get a visa to visit us in America.

My name is XXX, my wife’s name is XXX. I married my wife on March 2nd, 2007 in Hawaii.
The reason we want them to visit us is because my wife and I are both working as well as going to school for our master degree at the same time. So we do not have much time to go back to China and visit them. Also, we would like them to visit us here in States so we would be able to show them around here as they did the same thing for me when I was in China.
All their possessions are in China, including 2 houses in downtown Shanghai. They both are still employed by the State Post Office in Shanghai. Also, they have all the family members live in China. My grandparents-in-law are all in their 80s. My father in law’s mother is 93 years old. So they definitely rely on my mother and father in-law to help them.
They plan to come to the US around May 1st 2010, till June 15th, 2010. We They will stay with us in our house while they stay here. Our address is: XXX. Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX

My mother and father in-law have no desire to stay in America and they will return to China on or before their scheduled departure date.

It is my sincere desire that they will receive US visit visa so they can visit us.

Yours Sincerely,

May 4th, 2010 to May 8th, 2010
We will go to San Antonio and stay in Westin Hotel.
Day One
Start with the Alamo – it’s legendary! Then plunge down onto the River Walk where everywhere you turn there’s something new to experience. In one direction there’s Rivercenter Mall at the foot of the two Marriott hotels, the new Grand Hyatt Hotel and the grotto providing a passage up into HemisFair Park. In another, there’s a way up through the Arneson River Theatre into historic La Villita with restaurants (Fig Tree and Little Rhein) and shops offering custom jewelry (Chamade), art (Monte Wade Fine Arts) and more. And all along the route are unique dining opportunities such as Boudro’s and Las Canarias.
Day Two
Guided bus, trolley and carriage tours are available in many areas, but when heading north a car is best. Take Broadway to the Pearl Brewery Complex (but detour to the leaning Liberty Bar on Josephine Street for lunch), then continue to Brackenridge Park with its zoo and renovated Japanese Tea Gardens. The Witte Museum is nearby. Make your way to the San Antonio Botanical Garden, then venture to North New Braunfels Street for art immersion at the McNay Art Museum – or continue up Broadway and take a left on Basse Road for The Alamo Quarry Market and serious shopping at Lucchese Boots.

Day Three
Ride a bicycle to Southtown for restaurants (Azuca, La Frite, Rosario’s and El Mirador) or galleries (Garcia Art Glass, Blue Star Arts Complex and El Sol Studios). Then swing south along South St. Mary’s Street to the Mission Trail. Follow it to as many missions as you have time for. And consider returning via the hike and bike trail that hugs the San Antonio River’s west bank. Wrap up the night at La Tuna Grill, a favorite local hangout that was also recently named one of the 100 best bars in the country by Esquire magazine.
Day Four
On the east side of town, check out St. Paul Square and the beautiful vaulted ceiling and stained-glass windows of the restored 1902 Sunset Station railroad depot. For lunch, stop at Aldaco’s or go to Tommy Moore’s Café and Deli for Southern-style food and African-American heritage. Then head to the historic Market Square for classic pan dulce at Mi Tierra and shopping at the Mexican market. Take a peek at nearby Casa Navarro, the 19th century adobe home of Tejano patriot Jose Antonio Navarro. Without him, San Antonio might still be the “northernmost city in Mexico.”

Bicycling – Ride through Cades Cove on a misty summer morning for a truly memorable way to experience the park.
Camping – Escape into the Smokies wilderness for a backpacking adventure or opt for a tamer excursion in one of the park’s developed campgrounds.
Fishing – Anglers can match their skills against wily brook, brown, and rainbow trout on over 700 miles of fishable streams in the park.
Hiking – Choose from over 800 miles of trails ranging from quiet walkways to multi-day backpacking treks through the backcountry.
Historic Buildings – The park has one of the best collections of log buildings in the eastern United States. Nearly 80 historic structures—homes, barns, churches, schools, and grist mills—have been preserved in the park.
Horseback Riding – The park has hundreds of miles of horse trails and five drive-in horse camps. If you don’t own a horse, four rental stables provide mounts and guides.
Picnicking – Craving hotdogs, potato salad, water melon… and ants? There are eleven picnic areas to choose from in the park—many have pavilions that can be reserved in advance.
Waterfalls – Waterfalls can be found on nearly every river and stream in the park. Here’s your guide to some of the best.
Wildflowers – Great Smoky Mountains National park is known as the “wildflower national park.” You can find blooming plants year-round here, but spring and summer are renown for spectacular displays of wildflowers along roads and trails.
Wildlife Viewing – Hoping to see an elk, white-tailed deer, or black bear? Read some tips to improve your chances of spotting animals during your visit to the park.

We will leave Smoky Mountain on June 7th, 2010 and drive back to Longview, TX to visit David’s dad Gary Barnett and will be back in Kyle on June 9th, 2010
